How do i become a property rental manager?

Author: I am looking to break into the property rental manager world. I have some repair experience, but every single ad i look at requires years of rental experience. i dont know how to gain experience if no one will hire me. i have friends who have gotten this job with no experience. can anyone give me some good tips?

If not, you will have to start out at the bottom of the office – in leasing.
1Obtain a bachelor’s or master’s degree in business administration, real estate or finance from an accredited college or university. A degree can help when applying for an assistant property manager or similar entry-level position.
Step2Take property management courses. There are several courses available, online or classroom, that teach the essentials of property management.
Step3Gain experience in the real estate field. Spend time as a broker or real estate agent. A background in showing and selling real estate is a great asset in becoming a property manager.
Step4Pass a state property management licensing examination, if this is required by the state where you live. Registration and test fees apply.
Step5Become a Certified Property Manager through the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM).
Step6Join a professional property management association such as the National Association of Residential Property Managers (NARPM) or Property Management Association. Take advantage of seminars, conferences and continuing education opportunities.
You need a real estate license first, and then it should not be too hard to find a commission only job.
